Inn Mie

Inn Mie village is about 25 miles to the southeast of Kalaw. It has 150 households with about 600 villagers who belong to the Taung Yoe tribe.  The economy is based on the farming of ginger, garlic and butterfly beans. There were 70 students and 4 teachers in an old school built by the villagers in 1988. The teachers’ bamboo cottage was in bad shape as well as the school. We built a new 60′ x 30′ school and a new teachers’ cottage here.
