We built a new 60′ x 30′ primary/middle school plus a new teachers’ cottage here this year for which the villagers have expressed their warmest thanks.
Phon Inn
Phon Inn has 180 households with a population of 850 and is located 20 miles northeast of Kalaw. The villagers belong to the Danu tribe and farm flowers, brown rice, potatoes, cabbages and gooli flower. The two existing school buildings for the 102 students include a 2-storey that is in very bad shape and unusable.
