With the help of our generous donors, 2019 was an outstanding year for MBSPF construction projects in rural Myanmar villages: seven new schools, two teachers’ cottages and our third rural medical clinic. It is such a great joy to offer the children and villagers these beautiful buildings that support their education and well-being.
Tha Phan Kone “Riaz School”
Tha Phan Kone is a poor fishing village near Bagan with 73 households and 62 students. The existing school consisted of open-air bamboo classrooms for grades one and two plus an old monastery building for grades three, four and the kindergarten. The site for the new 60’ x 30’ building, named “Riaz School”, was a former rice paddy that required drainage and a clay base.
