The two-acre school plot has two existing buildings for primary schooling and one of them is in rough shape and too hot inside with low ceilings and petroleum paint. The second building a 90′ x 30′ with 50-60 students per classroom. Older students attend middle and high school in another village one mile away. The villagers requested that we build a new 60′ x 30′ primary school to help accommodate the 234 students which we did.
Ku
The village of Ku is located in Myin Gyan Township in the Mandalay Division. It has a population of 2,800 and 720 households. Half of the villagers depend on farming beans, corn, sesame and cotton and the other half depend on general labour.
