Pall Moll

Pall Moll has been in our sights for a couple of years. It is a small Danu tribe village of 476 who farm rice, ginger, peanuts and rape seed. Located about 26 miles from Kalaw, the village has electricity and access is by a 20 mile tar road then a 6 mile sandy road. There are 72 primary school students and 4 teachers.

The existing school building is a 60′ x 26′ structure built by the villagers 35 years ago. It has holes in the roof and no ceiling. The teachers’ cottage is bamboo and in bad shape. All 4 teachers stay in the village. To meet these needs, we built a new 60′ x 30′ school and a 30′ x 12′ teachers’ cottage this year.
