The main school building was a dangerous, 60′ x 30′ structure with a decaying roof and a crumbling frame and walls. The students were also using a hut without walls. The village chairman and school headmaster came to our contractor, Maung Maung Gyi, to request a new building in both of the last two years.  When Maung visited the village, the villagers all turned up and asked for a new building as the existing one is in such bad shape. We were happy to provide have a new 60′ x 30′ school building.
