The earthquake in late March 2025 severely damaged two of the three school buildings in A Naut Nge Toe and the third building is only a bamboo hut. Most classes are now held outside and school is cancelled every day that it rains. There are currently 127 girls and 129 boys in grades K-8 in dire need of suitable classrooms. MBSPF has stepped in and our Mandalay crew has started construction on a new 60′ x 30′ school building.
A Naut Nge Toe
This village is located about 40 km south of Mandalay. The population is 1,400 with 370 households. The villagers farm rice, beans and sesame plus raise cows and pigs. There are currently 256 students in total including 64 students who come from four surrounding villages. Many of them ride their bicycles to A Naut Nge Toe.
