We built an 80′ x 30′ primary/middle school building in 2021 on a new 4.8 acre site 1/2 mile from the river. Because of the severe flood damage, A Lae Chaung villagers were still in great need of another new 60′ x 30′ primary building and we constructed this for them in 2022.
A Lae Chaung
A Lae Chaung village is located on the east bank of the Irrawaday River and has a population of 1,930 in 386 households. The villagers farm sesame and beans and they also fish. The river flooded and destroyed their existing school buildings two and a half years ago.
