Pown Pyin has an 80′ x 30′ school built in 2004 by the villagers with support from the UN. It is not in good shape with plywood room dividers and no ceiling making for noisy and crowded classrooms. We are building a new 60′ x 30′ school and when that is finished, they will be able to add middle school grades. We are also building a teacher’s cottage for the teachers who are currently boarding with village families.
