The villagers built two small bamboo school buildings in the late 1990s. There is no teachers’ cottage and no school office facility. There are 75 students and four teachers. We have provided a new 60′ x 30′ school and a new teachers’ cottage this year.
Nan Ta Lay Thar
Nan Ta Lay Thar village is in a very pretty location about 25 miles southeast of Kalaw. The population of Pa Oh tribespeople numbers 530 with 120 households. They farm ginger, chilli and rape seed and grow rice for their own use. Access is by a tar road for half of the distance, then sand.
