The school compound is 1.5 acres with the new school built in 2023 plus a palm hut. Grades 4-5 are currently being taught in the palm hut. As of February, 2025, we have started construction of a new 60′ x 30′ school building.

This village is one that we know well as we built an 80′ x 30′ school and a teachers’ cottage here in 2023. Hpet Kone has a population of 1,400 villagers who farm beans, corn, sesame, cotton, and raise cows, sheep and goats. There are 278 students including 131 girls and 147 boys in grades K-12.
