2020 proved to be an ambitious building year given Covid-19. Despite the pandemic, MBSPF crews managed to complete six new school projects, including two high schools, and three teachers’ cottages in the villages of Kyawe Kan, Pyawetaung, Gwe Tauk Pin, Da Naung Pin, Baw Nin Ywar Thit and Inn Mie. We also built a rural medical clinic in the village of Kyaut Sint.

During 2012, MBSPF funded the building of four schools in rural areas.
In combination with our sister charity in the United States, Myanmar Schools Project (MSP), we have funded the construction or renovation of over 93 buildings at a cost of approximately $3.2 million USD.

MBSPF built seven new schools and two teachers’ cottages in 2019 in the villages of Than Nu Taw, Tha Phan Kone, Tee Pin Kin, Wet Choke Kone, Taung Poe Hla, Naung Kher Shey and Myin Twin. We also built a rural medical clinic in the village of Baw Kai.

In 2016, we built a total of eight new schools, four in the Mandalay area and four in the Kalaw area. The new Mandalay schools are Setoe, Sekalay, Nwar Chan Gyi Kone, and Nwar Shar Yoe. We also built a teachers’ cottage in Nwar Shar Yoe. The new Kalaw area schools are Pwe Hla Shwe Gone, Son Hla, Nyaung Gyo and Myay Char.

During 2015 we constructed seven new schools, six in the Mandalay area and one near Kalaw. The new Mandalay schools are Ah Shae Ngwe Toe, Nwar Chan Gyi Kone, two school buildings in Htan Sin Taw, Tan Ywar and Pe Khin. The new Kalaw area school is in the village of Kyi Gone.
