Four New Schools & a Clinic Constructed to Date

2020 is proving to be an ambitious building year given the Covid 19 situation. Despite the pandemic, MBSPF crews have managed to complete four new school projects, including two high schools, and a new rural medical clinic as of mid-October. Also, we are going to build two more new schools this year.

Four Schools Built

During 2012, MBSPF funded the building of four schools in rural areas.

In combination with our sister charity in the United States, Myanmar Schools Project (MSP), we have funded the construction or renovation of over 93 buildings at a cost of approximately $3.2 million USD.

Seven New Schools Constructed

MBSPF built seven new schools and two teachers’ cottages in 2019 in the villages of Than Nu Taw, Tha Phan Kone, Tee Pin Kin, Wet Choke Kone, Taung Poe Hla, Naung Kher Shey and Myin Twin. We also built a rural medical clinic in the village of Baw Kai.

Seven New Schools Constructed

MBSPF built seven new schools and three teachers’ cottages in 2018 in the villages of War Panpaloe, Htan Taw Oo, Ku Toe Sade, Own Don, Ye Twin Kaung, Patama Ywa, Nan Thum, Baw Nin Ywa Thit, and Taung Pe. We also built a rural medical clinic in the village of Su Pan Inn

Seven New Schools Constructed

In 2017, MBSPF constructed seven new schools and four teachers’ cottages in the villages of They Phyu Chaung, Ph Pha, Ye Twin Kaung, Mye Net, Patama Ywa, Wah Bo Yee, and U Min. We also built a rural medical clinic in the village of Myin Htaik.

Eight New Schools Constructed

In 2016, we built a total of eight new schools, four in the Mandalay area and four in the Kalaw area. The new Mandalay schools are Setoe, Sekalay, Nwar Chan Gyi Kone, and Nwar Shar Yoe. We also built a teachers’ cottage in Nwar Shar Yoe. The new Kalaw area schools are Pwe Hla Shwe Gone, Son Hla, Nyaung Gyo and Myay Char.

Seven New Schools Constructed

During 2015 we constructed seven new schools, six in the Mandalay area and one near Kalaw. The new Mandalay schools are Ah Shae Ngwe Toe, Nwar Chan Gyi Kone, two school buildings in Htan Sin Taw, Tan Ywar and Pe Khin. The new Kalaw area school is in the village of Kyi Gone.

Built 6 More Schools

During 2014, Myanmar/Burma Schools Project Foundation built six new schools, four in the rural Mandalay area, Thein Kone, Subhyikyin, Thit Yone, Chin Myint Kyin and two in the Pyin Oo Lwin area, Innya and Pyawetaung.
